According to the Financial Times, iPhone will be launched in Europe later this year. But the launch will be limited to three countries that are UK, France and Germany. As per the report, the UK rights to sell the iPhone will be awarded to O2 while to T-Mobile for Germany.
Users wanting iPhone in UK, Germany and France wouldn’t have to wait for long now. As per the report by Financial Times, iPhone will be launched first in these three European countries in this autumn while the rest of Europe and Asia will get it in 2008. The deal hasn’t been finalized but it is believed that O2 will be getting the exclusive rights for UK.
The European iPhone will work 2.5G mode instead of 3G network which the Vodafone already offers in UK.
