Sony has announced to release its PS3 console in India. PS3 will be released on April 27 which will be India’s second next gen gaming console after Microsoft’s Xbox 360 which was launched in September last year. There are no signs of selling the 20GB model but the 60GB model will be sold at a price tag of Rs. 40,000 (US$916) and each title for Rs. 2,799 (US$64). No doubt, the price charged here is at a premium but hey, you can get it at a cheaper price in the gray market. My two pennies: Get a Xbox 360 Core Edition plus eight games for Rs. 40000.
Titles include: Resistance: Fall of Man, MotorStorm, Genji, Days of the Blade, Formula 1:Championship Edition, Ridge Racer 7, Def Jam: Icon, Fight Night Round 3, NBA Street HomeCourt, Need for Speed Carbon, The Godfather: The Don’s Edition, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007 and Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom.
