So we already know that Xbox 360’s HD DVD drive is totally compatible with Windows XP after installing some drivers. After installing them, Windows allows you to play or copy HD DVD movies. However, when this drive was plugged into a Mac PC, the drive was detected instantly and even directed the DVD player in the OS to play the DVD movie.
