Sony lays out plans for Android 4.1 for Xperia devices

Sony has confirmed the devices that are expected to get the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade. Devices that are expected to receive the upgrade in Q1 2013 are Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V.

Although the timeline isn’t fixed, devices that are slated to get the Jelly Bean goodness are Xperia S, Xperia acro S, Xperia ion, Xperia P, Xperia go and Xperia J. Upgrade for these devices will most likely be in Q2 2013.

The devices that have been left out are the 2011 Xperia models, which Sony says won’t be upgraded but will be supported with maintenance releases.
