Google’s original Nexus device, Nexus One will be left out to taste the Ice Cream Sandwich goodness. Google executive, Hugo Barra revealed that Nexus One won’t be getting the upgrade because the “hardware was simply too old to run the new operating system.” That’s a bit dismal end to the phone that launched in January 2010.
Meanwhile, Nexus S, which is still the current-gen Nexus device prior to Galaxy Nexus’ launch, will receive the update. Nexus S will get the Android 4.0 update within weeks once the Galaxy Nexus is launched.
