It seems Sony’s PlayStation 3 console has finally been tamed. A USB-based modchip known as PSJailbreak has surfaced that allows users to play their game backups directly from the built-in HDD or external HDD.
Though this development paves the way for homebrew apps and games in the future, it also opens the Pandora Box for pirated games.
PSJailbreak claims to work on all PS3 models and can be updated to work with future PS3 firmware releases.
No word on the price yet.
