Laptop recall has come back to hound Sony again. This time they’ve recalled 535,000 VAIO notebooks due to overheating. According to Sony, overheating is in their F and C Series VAIOs and is caused due to malfunctioning of the temperature control that transforms the shape of the unit. Sony received about 39 complaints for overheating but no damage was reported.
A total of 259,000 notebooks are recalled in US, 103,000 in Europe, 120,000 in Asia and 52,000 in Japan.
Users owning the aforementioned models can fix it by downloading a firmware update or call Sony to pick the notebook for repair.
