Nintendo will be unveiling their special E3 fireworks today. But yesterday as Microsoft was gearing up for their conference, Nintendo decided to poke around a bit and send us a teaser. They announced Motion Plus addon for Wiimote which clings at the bottom enabling the Wiimote to gain more accuracy in the motion sensing department. Motion Plus has an integrated accelerometer which detects the movement the players make with their wrist or arm and is rendered identically in real time on the screen, providing a true 1:1 response in their game play.

Pricing is not known but the trailer seems good so the whole movie will be promising too? We’ll find out at the E3 briefing today.

I really thank Nintendo for bringing Wii to the world. The main reason is that where other companies were concentrating on giving a real life gameplay, Nintendo thought totally opposite and rather concentrated on bringing FUN back into games, which they succeeded. And with all this being said, the infamous Wii has been put to a good use by the guys at MIT Game Lab in Singapore. They are developing a game called as Audio Odyssey which can be played by people who are visually impaired.

The game doesn’t have top notch graphics and I don’t expect it too considering most of the players will be visually impaired? But heck, it does open a new avenue for game developers. Isn’t it?

The user stars as Vinyl Scorcher, an up-and-coming DJ, on his quest to get club patrons dancing. Swinging the Nintendo Wii controller to the beat, Vinyl lays down the various component tracks of a song, and keeps the party jumping.

UPDATE:The game is a PC-based one which uses Wiimote as a controller.
