It was least expected but SoC makers have garnered the much needed attention at this year’s MWC that could shape the future of phones and other devices. We have already seen ZiiLabs showing their ZMS-05 SoC running Android and doing HD playback at 720p. Now Nvidia has announced their Tegra 600 Series SoC that claims to give MIDs, Android support and HD playback up to 1080p, which the carriers could subsidize at around $99.

In addition to these features, a Tegra enabled MID gives days of use between charges, Wi-Fi, 3G and support for different OSes.
