Samsung’s fourth Focus device has made its way to America’s biggest GSM operator, AT&T. Dubbed as Focus 2, it is Samsung’s first Windows Phone to sport 4G LTE and AT&T sweetens the deal by pricing it at just $49.99 on a 2-year contract.

Apart from the fast surfing speeds, the phone features a 4-inch Super AMOLED WVGA display, 5MP camera, 720p HD video recording and playback, front-facing VGA camera for video calling, 8GB internal memory, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a huge 1750mAh battery.

Admittedly, Nokia’s Lumia 900 is a bit superior in specs (and price) but Samsung’s offering could be a great way to try out the Windows Phone OS for cheap.

Samsung Focus 2 will be available from May 20.

Given the strong sales of Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones and decline of market share for Nokia, I guess this was inevitable. Anyways, research firm Strategy Analytics claims that Samsung has shipped 93.5 million handsets in a single quarter managing to grab a market share of 25.4 percent which is way more than what Nokia shipped in the last quarter. In comparison, Nokia shipped only 82.7 million units.

This milestone has ended Nokia’s 14-year stint at the top as the world’s numero uno handset maker.

Meanwhile, Samsung also announced their first quarter results today, which was pretty much positive thanks to the sales of Galaxy smartphones.
