We’ve been tracking LG’s dual-core equipped smartphone for the past few weeks but this seems to be the biggest leak so far. Thanks to Engadget’s generous souce, the site managed to get their paws on the prototype device.

LG Star’s design is what Engadget calls is “unadventurous and safe design,” The WVGA display is “gorgeous” but disappointingly, it’s not an AMOLED screen. As for the performance, you can check out the video at the link below, confirming that the Tegra 2 is no slouch.

The phone is still far away from being released and is apparently slated for MWC release, with Gingerbread of course.

Milestone Interactive, distributors of EA in India held a preview showing us few unreleased games like Dante’s Inferno, The Saboteur and Mass Effect 2. Needless to say, we got a brief hands-on on all the games to let you know what to expect from them.

Dante’s Inferno

Starting with Dante’s Inferno, the game is based on Dante Alighieri poem, The Divine Comedy where you play the role of Dante who has to go through nine circles of Hell to bring back his lover, Beatrice.

Inferno was running on PS3’s debug unit and the moment you play the game, you’re reminded of God of War. Although the storylines are totally different, the gameplay, attacks are similar to Sony’s successful franchise.

The preview did not give us much to say anything about the gameplay, which for the fact seemed easy and intuitive but the graphic rendering was a treat. Even on an older code, the visuals seemed perfect with smooth textures and decent frame rate.

We were not told the exact shipping date but it is expected sometime in Q1 2010 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP.

The Saboteur

The Saboteur is a third-person shooter, sandbox-styled game set in the 1940s during the World War II period. You play as Sean Devlin, an Irishman who is also a racer in Nazi-occupied France. As Nazi control increases in Paris taking away everything from Sean, he seeks to take revenge by acting as a saboteur and kill Nazis. Users have the liberty to roam around the whole Paris or be the saboteur by gunning down enemies and infiltrating Nazis.

Unique feature The Saboteur boasts is the “Will to Fight” feature. It’s a visual style that lets you know the Nazi concentration in a particular area by turning the course of play into black and white, emphasizing on very heavy Nazi concentration or to color mode in less concentrated areas.

Saboteur didn’t look to be flawless as far as graphics were concerned but its sandbox-styled gameplay tries to compensate on what is lacking in the graphics department.

It’s releasing early next month on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Mass Effect 2

Finally, we were hooked up with Mass Effect 2, which takes the helm from the successful Mass Effect prequel. The game’s protagonist Commander Shepard is set on the task to trace out the fall in the human population and save them from extinction.

Mass Effect 2 improves on few fronts from the original Mass Effect – improved warfare, more control in a dialogue (you can now interrupt!) and regenerating health. As far as visuals were concerned, surroundings and character animations looked more detailed.

Mass Effect 2 is scheduled for next year on PC and Xbox 360.

As expected, Mobile-review has posted the preview of Sony Ericsson’s promising Kurara touchscreen phone. However, as per Eldar from Mobile-review, the phone is just another average touchscreen with HD capability and its success will be dependent on its price. SE is pinning for 400 Euros but if SE wants to sell considerable units, Eldar reckons 300 Euros will be the sweet spot competing to Omnia HD and other offerings.

For the technical features, the phone is said to have a mediocre body made of plastic, average touchscreen response, a 3.5mm audio jack, 8MP camera decent enough to record videos at 720p resolution and below par battery. In short, Kurara which looked as a healthy competitor turns out to be a lackluster phone with price looking as the only saving point.

While we’re expecting Nokia to officially unveil the N97 Mini next month, Eldar from Mobile Review has already put it to paces to publish the first preview of the miniature version of Nokia’s flagship phone. The phone unsurprisingly didn’t manage to wow him and feels the phone doesn’t look to have a bright future. The less price differential between N97 and Mini, a worse-than-N97 keyboard, less storage are amongst the few reasons. For a more in-depth read, you can go over here.

Speaking of the OS, he felt it is still miles away of the iPhone OS but it found it to be more polished, faster and eye candy than S60. Well, it’s not as neck deep as his reviews (which he’ll publish after the official announcement) but it’s an interesting read with lots of pictures.

N900 is expected to hit the retail shelves in late 2009 for an estimated price of around 550 Euros.

We are gearing up for a probable September release but Kevin from Crackberry has already got his hands-on the successor of Storm. Being an early-stage device, the video does not give a full preview but it’s good to see the phone in real world. The unit did not have Wi-Fi radio and surprisingly had a far more responsive SurePress screen, which was initially rumored to be on its way out.
