Sony has actively promoted Blu-Ray as a hi-definition format. And to show a glimpse of what they can do more, Sony creates a mammoth 400 Disc Blu-Ray Mega changer which can dump all your Blu-Ray collection in one go. The player is a prototype for now and is gracing itself on the CEDIA expo floor. The only details confirmed are that the player will be selling in 2009 and feature BD-Live, CD/DVD playback and RS-232C serial port support.

Samsung’s obsession for slim products has extended to its new line of Blu-Ray players too. The BD-P2500 unveiled at the IFA last week packs a lot of commendable features in the slim housing. The player features a LAN port for easy firmware updates, USB port as well as decent 1GB of internal memory.

For Blu-Ray interactivity, it is BD Live and Bonus View ready and will have Hollywood Quality Video (HQV) chip onboard for excellent picture quality. The audio front forms the support of Dolby, DTS-HD HR and 7.1 channel support. Despite being high on features, the player is expected to be aggressively priced at around $500.

Creative’s ZEN Krystal music player surfaces on their Hong Kong website. The player looks chic in its glossy chasis with OLED display hidden beneath and 4GB of space onboard. It supports the usual MP3/WMA formats with FM Tuner also added to the mix. Notable features here are an integrated pedometer to measure the distance ran or the calorie counter and motion sensing games. The games included are Hurdle Race, Catch & Dodge and Dice Roll! and as we still figure out how is it gonna function and look on the small OLED screen, we just hope it isn’t a let down. Available only in Hong Kong for the time being at a price of HK$698 (US$90).
