Concepts are cool. They show us what we can expect from our future gadgets but in retrospect most of them never turn into a real product. But this concept of Mozilla Seabird is what I want to get real. It’s an open web mobile that has been created after taking feedback from the Mozilla community.

The phone looks drop dead gorgeous and features dual pico projectors that provide different functionality like one projecting the phone’s content while other displaying the keyboard. Other than that, the phone has a 8MP camera, integrated Bluetooth dongle that helps to pan/zoom content on the phone in a 3D environment, 3.5mm headphone jack, mini-USB and wireless charging.

Sony’s PS3 console is about to get a new browser, if the report from PSInsider is to be believed. A source close to Sony hit them up claiming the Japanese multinational is in talks with Mozilla to port Firefox to the console. However, it’s not clear if both the companies have signed the dotted line or not.

This if true, will be a boon to PS3 users as no matter how well PS3 renders games, its integrated browser is a disappointment.

Mozilla has finally released the 3.5 version of Firefox. The new build is the fastest Firefox ever built which brings in a lot of improvements like HTML5 support, integrated Ogg Vorbis and Ogg Theora support, faster Javascript rendering with TraceMonkey, improved Gecko engine, Geolocation, Private Browsing and much more.

Users who have no issues trying beta builds can go ahead and download a copy of Firefox’s 3.5 beta 4. Amongst the improvements – there’s a Private Browsing Mode aka Porn mode, new enhanced Javascript engine, improved Gecko layout engine, support for new web technologies and much more.

The beta is available for Windows, Linux and Mac in over 70 languages.

Mozilla has let loose its Fennec browser for the Touch Pro users to try it out. If you’re not a big fan of IE Mobile and want to rest Opera for a while, you can give it a shot. A word of caution though; it’s a pre-alpha build so expect bugs to hinder your Fennec-ky experience.

Good news WinMo fellas or rather Touch Pro users, Mozilla will be releasing its Fennec mobile browser for HTC’s Touch Pro phone in the first week of February. Yes, this will be limited to single WinMo device but at least, that’s a start.

I am sure as soon as the app is released, coders will be doing their best to port it to other WinMo phones.

Opera behold as here comes Mozilla with their first ever mobile browser, Firefox aka Fennec. Currently in Alpha, the availability for the time being is restricted to just Nokia N810 devices. However, if you’re still interested to give it a spin, Mozilla has got an emulator ready for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux users.

The release is just a snippet of Fennec’s capabilities. Do other browser developers need to pull up their socks? Hell yeah!
