LG today unveiled its new line of 3D monitors that promises to give a flicker-free experience. LG reckons flickering and the resulting sickness has restricted consumers to opt for 3D products but the new Cinema 3D Monitors – D41P and D42P help to solve that.

Certified “flicker-free” by two European safety certification agencies, users will be able to enjoy 3D images without any dizziness and nausea. Additionally, the full HD monitor is equipped with LG’s Film Patterned Retarder (FPR) 3D technology, which means the monitors provide clearer, brighter 3D images with reduced crosstalk.

The Cinema 3D monitors support HDMI 1.4 as well as on-the-fly 2D to 3D conversion.

The LG Cinema 3D Monitors are launched in Korea today and will be followed by other regions in early June starting with Europe.

LG is planning to become the first manufacturer to sell a full HD 3D LCD display in the mass market. They’ve announced the commercial launch of its 23-inch 3D LCD monitor that uses shutter glasses to deliver three-dimensional content in full HD resolution.

LG claims its new LCDs are capable to offer twice as crisp picture quality compared to existing HD 3D displays with the help of proprietary high performance 3D exclusive controller and copper bus line. The LCD monitor also supports 2D content mode.

LG is launching the new displays in order to cash in on the fact that 3D display market is expected to grow at rapid pace as trials to 3D broadcasting has been announced in UK, South Korea and Japan.
