It’s safe to say that most HTC Magic users have moved to better and faster phones but if you’re one of those who is still carrying the aged Android device, Vodafone has a little treat for you. They’ve released the Froyo update that is apparently exclusive to Vodafone subscribers only.

The Android 2.2.1 brings the usual Froyo goodness like the ability to save apps on SD card, USB tethering, improved OS security, new Gmail and Android Market clients, Bluetooth improvements and more.

It’s a two-part OTA update which can be initiated by accepting the automatic notification.

HTC has a fleet of Android phones and if these UA Profile leaks are any indication, it will be the same or more this year. These profiles unearthed by Cellpassion shows about eight phones running Android OS.

Important details of the phones are still unknown but looks like HTC is emphasizing on devices having a real QWERTY keyboard. From the list that will have QWERTY are original Magic’s keyboard version, Halo, Paradise and Espresso. Rest of the phones won’t have physical QWERTY but will sport a touchscreen display are – Huangshan, Liberty, Legend and Supersonic.

MWC is just around the corner so we can expect few phones from this leaked list to surface on the show floor.

Jackie Zhang, marketing director at Dopod has confirmed that they are planning to launch at least three phones in the Chinese market. The phones will include Hero, Click, Magic and mostly a TD-SCDMA enabled unnamed phone.

Hero will make its way out first and could be shipped as early as this month, provided the approval by regulatory authorities. The Chinese variant of Hero will feature a Wi-Fi security protocol, no pre-installed Google Maps application and a possible Chinese red color for the phone. The phone will sell for 5,600 yuan ($819).

Click will be a cheap Android offering costing around 3,000 yuan ($439) that will come with two changeable front covers. Both, Hero and Click will work on China Unicom.

The unnamed Android device based on China’s own 3G standard is expected to be released in Q4 2009 or Q1 2010 on China Mobile. It’s not clear if the aforementioned device will have Google’s stock Android OS or China Mobile’s customized Android that includes carrier specific applications. HTC also plans to release Magic with China Mobile’s OS.

Is yesterday’s announcement the reason Rogers is rushing to give its own piece of good news? Well, if they did, I am sure Canadians won’t mind. They have announced to bring HTC Dream and Magic next month to Canada. While we can expect Magic to sell later in the month, Roger’s <a href="http://rogers.com/revolution target="_blank">Revolution page suggest that Dream will make its way 25 days from now which is June 2nd.
