<p>Intel’s President and CEO Paul Otellini today announced their entry into the smartphone and tablet processor market in a keynote speech at CES 2012. Intel’s Atom Z2460 processor (aka Medfield) will power many smartphones and tablets in the future but the first recipient will be Lenovo’s K800 smartphone. K800 runs Android OS and will sell only available in China due to Lenovo’s huge presence in its domestic country. </p>
<p>The phone has a 4.03-inch LCD screen along with HD resolution support, 8MP camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and more. </p>
<p>Apart from the first device, Intel also announced a multi-year, multi-strategic strategic relationship with Motorola that will enable Motorola to develop devices powered by Atom processor. </p>

<p>On the road to its new vision of becoming a “Personal Cloud” company, Lenovo announced slew of devices based on the Android OS, like the IdeaTab S2 10, Smartphone S2 and K91 smart TV.</p>
<p>The IdeaTab S2 10in is thinner than its predecessors and is just one-third of an inch thin weighing just 1.1lbs. IdeaTab S2 features the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8960 dual core CPU and Android 4.0 operating systems to offer a better multimedia experience. Running Lenovo Mondrian UI, the IdeaTab S2 10in displays customized content and includes easy access to the Lenovo App Shop. The device can deliver an incredible 20 hours of battery life, according to the company.</p>
<p>Next is the S2 smartphone that runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon technology and Android 2.3 OS. The device includes a unique kernel-level security system to protect personal data, prevent phishing, and control network and SMS traffic. The S2 comes with an 8-megapixel camera for shooting photos and video. S2 is also ready for the Cloud, and instantly syncs photos, music, videos and personal information with a dedicated online storage space for easy sharing across multiple devices. </p>
<p>The highlight product, K91 is the World’s First Smart TV to Run Android 4.0 OS. As the world’s first smart TV powered by QualComm’s 8060 Snapdragon dual core CPU, the K91 is also the world’s first smart TV running the Android 4.0 operating system  The “Sandwich” UI unites three major smart TV functions, including Video On Demand (VOD), Internet applications and traditional TV programs. The online HD VOD is tailored to an individual consumer’s viewing history, and delivers the best picture and audio quality with 3D FPR technology delivering flicker-free video on a full HD IPS panel at 240hz with SRS TruSurround. </p>
<p>All these devices as of now are only available in China and are slated to be released worldwide in the coming days.</p>

<p>Lenovo has published a new video of the upcoming IdeaPad S110 on its official video channel. Although the specs of the upcoming Lenovo computer would want you to call it a netbook, marketing whizzes at Lenovo prefer to call it a “mini notebook.”</p>
<p>Whatever you call it, the specs are pretty decent which includes an Intel Atom 2600 processor, a 10.1-inch HD display, optional HD webcam, USB 3.0 support, Wi-Fi or optional 3G, Lenovo’s Quick Start Instant On, 98-percent full-size chiclet keyboard and different color choices. </p>
<p>Lenovo is expected to make the new mini notebook official at CES in the next couple of weeks.</p>

<p>Lenovo has announced two new All-in-one (AIO) PCs – ThinkCentre Edge 71z and ThinkCentre Edge 91z for Indian SMBs. Lenovo says small businesses look for space saving designs and performance and their latest offerings suffice both requirements. </p>
<p>Lenovo ThinkCentre Edge 71z is a mainstream AIO that comes with a 20-inch widescreen display, Intel Core i5 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, energy efficient and more. Edge 71z pricing starts from a modest Rs. 26,400.</p>
<p>ThinkCentre Edge 91z on the other hand, is a power packed machine that features a VESA mount, enabling users to mount it on a wall. Specs include 21.5-inch full HD LED display, up to 1TB HDD or 80GB SSD, 1GB AMD discrete graphics, HDMI-out and more. It will sell from Rs. 43,500.</p>

<p>Lenovo has dropped three tablets for its home market. Hailing from LePad series, each tablet PC is sized differently to cater different set of crowds. The LePad S2007 and LePad S2010 are 7-inch and 10.1-inch tablets respectively and come with common specifications like Honeycomb OS, 1280&#215;800 IPS display, dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm CPU, 1GB RAM, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera whereas 1.3 megapixel on the front, dual-mode 3G and Wi-Fi. Difference between both the tablets apart from the size and weight is the battery size, which is 3,780mAh in the 7-incher and double i.e. 7,560mAh in the S2010. </p>
<p>The third tablet which can also be classified as a phone is the 5-inch LePad S2005. LePad S2005 runs on Android 2.3.5 and features a WVGA display with improved viewing angle, Qualcomm dual-core 1.2GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 5MP camera with full HD video recording support, 1.3MP front camera, micro-USB, HSPA+, micro-HDMI and 1,680mAh battery. Not as spectacular as Galaxy Note but could suffice some users.</p>
<p>All the tablets will be available from next month in China.</p>

<p>So it seems India is getting its fair share of Ultrabooks and the latest in line to join the bandwagon is Lenovo IdeaPad U300s. Ultrabook brings style as well as performance and U300s is no exception. The U300s is just 14.9mm thick and is created from a single aluminum shell that gives it a clean and streamlined look.</p>
<p>On the hardware front, the Ultrabook packs in a 13.3-inch 16:9 widescreen HD display, Core i5 processor, 4GB RAM, up to 128GB SSD, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HD webcam, HDMI-out, SRS Premium Sound, Intel WiDi support and a battery life of up to 8 hours.</p>
<p>Lenovo also touts U300s’ advanced cooling technology and a breathable keyboard that allows optimum air flow to keep the notebook temperature down.</p>
<p>Lenovo IdeaPad U300s will be available soon for a price of Rs. 67,990 plus taxes. </p>

<p>Lenovo today launched their range of Android tablets for India. The IdeaPad series is targeted at the end-consumers whereas the ThinkPad goes for the business customers of India. These tablets are running on Android 2.3 (A1) and 3.1 (K1 and ThinkPad tablet) are powered by 1GHz mobile processors.</p>
<p>Unveiling these tablets for India, Amar Babu, Managing Director said, “Tablets are extremely personal technology devices used primarily for data consumption. Lenovo’s tablet strategy is to create a family of tablet suited to various entertainment and mobility requirements. So whether it’s the Ideapad for entertainment or the ThinkPad for business, we have listened to our customers and are delivering Android tablets designed to meet their particular needs. We have also loaded our tablets with a lot of distinct features that will make these machines very appealing”</p>
<p>The ThinkPad tablet specs includes Android OS 3.1, 2-megapixel front facing camera, included ThinkPad tablet pen 10.1inch IPS display with Corning Gorilla glass, HDMI port, USB and mini USB port, Dock connector, up to 8.7 hrs with WiFi of battery life, 3G and WiFi connectivity and host of enterprise apps. </p>
<p>The ThinkPad tablet pricing starts from <span class="WebRupee">Rs.</span>29,500 for 16GB Wi-Fi and goes up to <span class="WebRupee">Rs.</span>46,900 for 64GB with 3G and WiFi.</p>
<p>Ideapad A1 is an Android 2.3 OS with a 7-inch display amounting to 170 pixels per inch. The tablet features Bluetooth, 3G and WiFi connectivity. The front camera is a 0.3-megapixel and the main camera is 3-megpixel. Basically, the Ideapad A1 is targeted at entry-level users and is priced at <span class="WebRupee">Rs.</span>14,990 onwards.</p>
<p>The next tablet is the Ideapad K1 that features a 10.1-inch screen with Android 3.1 running on it. The K1 features a 2-megapixel front camera and 5-megapixel main (rear) camera. On the connectivity front, the K1 also features 3G and WiFi connectivity and also features HDMI port. The K1 comes pre-loaded with 40 plus apps out-of-the-box. Running on NVIDIA Tegra 2, the K1 delivers a usage time of 10hrs. The retail price of K1 starts from <span class="WebRupee">Rs.</span>29,990 for Wi-Fi and <span class="WebRupee">Rs.</span>33,990 for 3G + Wi-Fi version.</p>

<p>On the hardware front, IdeaCentre B320 is spec’d decently to give a good multimedia experience. The AIO comes with a full HD 21.5-inch touchscreen display, choices of Intel Core i3 or i5 processor, Windows 7 with RapidBoot technology, 3GB DDR3 RAM which is expandable up to 8GB, up to 2TB HDD, integrated or discrete AMD Radeon HD graphics, Wi-Fi, HD webcam, USB 3.0, memory card reader and more.</p>
<p>The IdeaCentre B320 pricing starts from Rs. 37,990 excluding taxes.</p>
