Sony promised to launch the 3G variant of its first Android tablet in a few weeks after the launch of its Wi-Fi-only variant and it seems they’ve delivered on that front. The 3G variant of its Tablet S is now available in the Indian market for around Rs. 34,000. The launch of the 3G variant has also resulted in a price reduction of the Wi-Fi-only variant which now goes for Rs. 27,000.

Sony Tablet S is a pretty decent tablet and far more optimized compared to other Tegra 2 Android tablets.

Sony India has expanded its Bravia lineup with a 65-incher – HX925 LED TV. Motionflow boosts the frame rate by up to 4 times so a user enjoys smoother and clearer images.

Boasting full HD video playback and 3D support, the TV supports internet connectivity and online services like YouTube, Sony, Star TV, BIGFlix etc.

The HX925 comes in the same attractive monolithic design.

Sony is currently selling the TV for Rs. 3,59,900 and bundles a Skype camera and two pairs of active shutter 3D glasses along with it.

India court has warned Internet giants, Google and Facebook to remove offensive content or the sites will be blocked like it is in China. This warning is as a result of a filing of case against them by a private petitioner in a lower court case. The hearing on this will be taking place at the Delhi High court on Monday.

“The lower court gave a ruling asking the companies to take down some content, we appealed that ruling and it is in the higher court,” said a Google spokesman in India on Friday.

A law passed last year in India makes companies responsible for user content posted on their websites, requiring them to take it down within 36 hours in case of a complaint. The lower court affirmed the law last week.

There’s no doubt that e-commerce in India is on the rise, which is why Nokia India has announced their dedicated Nokia store for Indian consumers. Nokia says consumers will be able to buy genuine Nokia phones and accessories directly on the store.

Although a good initiative by Finnish giant, biggest caveat we found was the price difference. Online retailers like Flipkart are selling same Nokia devices at a discounted price than what Nokia is currently offering. Maybe Nokia can offer some exclusive discount to entice customers.
