Fly Mobile has announced a new, entry-level phone for Indian consumers. It’s the Harmony (DS102) that is modestly priced at just Rs.1449 and features very loud speakers. We’re not sure about this but Fly claims that the phone is a “near challenge” to portable music players.

In addition to this, the phone supports dual-SIM capability and features wireless FM Radio, blacklist feature, torch, memory expansion slot supporting up to 2GB and 1000mAh battery giving up to 7 hours of talk time.

Logitech showing up its goods at the CES, revealed its Harmony 1100 universal remote control from the lineup. Winner of the CES 2009 Design and Engineering Award, the palm-sized remote control sports a 3.5-inch touchscreen QVGA display which can be customized with the help of bundled Harmony software. Harmony 1100 can be hooked up easily with the help of Logitech’s internet based setup. It will be available in US and Europe beginning from February at a list price of $500.

Logitech India has updated its universal remote range, Harmony with One. The Harmony One can take care of all the remote controlled electronic equipments in your home with ease. It has a 2.2-inch color touch screen with capacitive technology (also found in iPhone). This means that the touch screen will only respond from the electrical charges transmitted from the fingertips. It is more durable and efficient compared to touch screens which respond to pressure.

The Harmony One has smartly divided the remote into four distinct zones – numbers; traditional DVD controls; D-pad with volume and channel up/down; and on-screen menu buttons. Other features include a one-touch activity control and on-screen notification if something interferes with the Infrared command.

This piece of technology, however, does not come cheap and will retail at Rs. 18495 ($423). Yes, that’s a tad cheaper than PS3 and equivalent to standard CRT TV.
