Samsung has been banned to sell its Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Germany but it seems they’ve figured a workaround that will allow them to sell the tablet. Samsung has developed a slightly different version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and christened it as Galaxy Tab 10.1N (P7501). The difference between both the tablets in addition to the name is the tad larger bezel, location of the speakers and comes pre-loaded with Android 3.2 OS.

Samsung is expected to start selling the tablet from next week and will also sell a Wi-Fi-only (P7511) in capacities of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

The lawsuit drama between Apple and Samsung reached a new level as the Dusseldorf court has banned Samsung tablet in Germany. The court upheld their previous injunction stating the Galaxy Tab 10.1 did infringe on Apple patents and copied iPad’s minimalist design.

Interestingly, other manufacturers like Acer, Asus and Toshiba won’t have the same problem as the judge ruled the tablet design from these manufacturers are totally different.
