Acer’s subsidiary brand Gateway has announced a new netbook. The LT2000 is another netbook with customary specs but differentiates itself with its price. The LT2000 goes for $299.99 and features a 10.1-inch WSVGA display, 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Windows XP Home OS, Wi-Fi and a 3-cell battery.

Acer is trying hard to gain some foothold for Gateway, its acquired brand. At this year’s Computex, they showed a Gateway branded all-in-one PC, dubbed as the One ZX6800. Unlike other Atom powered AIOs, this 23-incher has Core 2 Duo processor onboard and is multi-touch enabled. Other specs that make this AIO more stronger is the support for DDR3 RAM, 3.5-inch SATT-II HDD, discrete graphics card, integrated speakers, webcam, Ethernet, 802.11n Wi-Fi and a Hybrid TV-tuner card.

There are no details on the pricing or availability but we expect it to launch in Acer’s hometown first followed by other regions.

In a bid to promote the Gateway brand in its homeland, Acer has announced ZX2300 all-in-one PC bearing the Gateway sticker. The PCs will take a dig at Eee Tops but with a larger screen sans the touchscreen interface. ZX2300 will sport an 18.5-inch screen with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and a resolution of 1366X768 pixels. The AIO will be powered by an AMD Athlon 2650e processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, onboard ATI X1200 graphics, USB ports, card reader, Wi-Fi, webcam and a 16X Lightscribe DVD burner.

Taiwanese users will be able to buy this for NT$17900 or roughly US$530.
