New webOS powered devices were in the offing considering it is the next flagship OS for Palm. But we never expected that it would be soon after Pre’s launch. If the latest rumor is to be believed, Palm is readying the Centro successor to run on webOS. Reportedly, the Centro 2, will come on Sprint in Fall 2009 and will resemble more or less as the predecessor.

Centro did very well because of its cheap price tag. And if Centro 2 followed the footsteps of its elder sibling as well as giving the advantages of the new OS, Palm could very well snag a decent chunk of market share. At least we hope!
