Despite Internet Explorer having the majority of the market share, they had built a notorious reputation over the years due to the product’s clumsiness. Good news is this will change on March 14 as Microsoft has confirmed to release the final build of Internet Explorer 9 at 9AM PST, exactly after a year from first Platform Preview.

Unlike previous iterations of IE, IE9 is fast and competitive to other modern browsers and boasts lots of features like faster JavaScript engine, inPrivate browsing, Tracking Protection, ActiveX Filtering etc.

Google has released a stable version of its Chrome browser. Version 10 that was in beta for couple of weeks has been released for masses featuring some nifty additions. Although Chrome has obvious speed improvements under the hood, it is the interface that makes the update special.

Chrome has got a new settings interface that now opens as tab and shows off the URL of the page for quicker and easier sharing. The settings page has also got a search bar to quickly search through settings.

Another improvement is the sandboxing technique. Chrome now sandboxs Adobe’s Flash Player to enhance security and thwart any kind of malware expected from Flash.

Existing Chrome users will be updated to the latest version whereas consumers waiting to try out Google’s browser can download from the link below.

The Release Candidate of Internet Explorer 9 is now available for download from Microsoft. The Release Candidate or better known as the RC version is a proof that MS’ IE9 browser is ready for primetime and a similar version could be released as the final build.

Anyways, the current RC is available at the link below in 40 different languages and adds in many new features to improve performance, user experience and safety for consumers.

The RC is faster overall, consumes less memory than previous versions, support for various emerging web standards like CSS3 2D Transforms, HTML5 Geolocation, UI improvements, One Box search and more importantly, tracking protection that allows consumers to choose what information should be sent to different websites.
