Forget the two million pre-orders because Apple has released the first weekend sale numbers and it unsurprisingly shatters all the previous iPhone records. Apple announced that they’ve sold over 5 million units in just three days of its launch and over 100 million iOS devices have upgraded to the latest iOS 6 operating system.
Apple says the demand of the new iPhone has exceeded the initial supply and are expecting to ship the pre-orders in October.
The new iPhone 5 comes with a larger 4-inch Retina Display and improved performance.
