RIM has announced the 4G LTE variant of its maiden PlayBook tablet for the Canadian market. Consumers can simply purchase a microSIM from their carrier and enjoy wireless internet connectivity without relying on Wi-Fi network.
The new PlayBook will go on sale from August 9 in Canada and will be pre-loaded with BlackBerry OS 2.0.1 and 32GB of storage.
RIM will also launch the cellular network-supporting PlayBook in US, Europe, South Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean in coming months.
