LG Optimus phone owners should be happy to hear the Korean company has finally released the much awaited Gingerbread update. Starting today, consumers using unlocked European models of Optimus 2X should receive the Android 2.3 update followed by Optimus 3D from November 21 and Optimus Black from November 28.

Needless to say, this date will vary according to your region but rest assured, you’ll receive the update in due time.

Frankly, LG should etch out a plan to give Android 4.0 as soon as possible but hey, at least Optimus 2X, 3D and Black users will be on the highest used Android version (for now).
