Google last week announced to release an update to Google TV. The update is expected to be released this week on Sony devices which will bring interesting improvements like the customizable, simpler user interface, improved search with TV & Movies app that allows easy browsing of 80,000 movies and TV shows, Google TV-optimized YouTube and most importantly, more apps – which will be courtesy of Android Market. Understandably, apps related to touch, GPS and telephony won’t show up on the Market.

Logitech devices will receive the new update after some time.
