3G took its own sweet time to arrive in India but it seems the fourth generation successor will be out sooner than expected. Times of India reports that Reliance Industries will launch 4G services by mid-2012 along with attractively priced tablets.

While 4G-enabled tablets could go for a meager Rs. 3,000 price tag, Reliance will also look to offer 4G data cards to be used with notebooks.

4G as you’d expect will be much faster than 3G that will have data speeds of ranging from 50 to 100Mbps.
