Samsung has released their ChatON messaging service that will directly compete with other messaging services like Apple’s iMessage and RIM’s BBM. Unlike the services offered by Apple and RIM, uniqueness of Samsung’s messaging tool is that it works across various platforms, which includes bada, Android, iOS, BlackBerry and even PC.

For now, the ChatON is available only on Android and could be downloaded via Android Market or Samsung’s own Samsung Apps store.

ChatON will allow users to have a 1:1 conversation, group chat or messaging and share multimedia content.
