Sony recalls 1.6m Bravia TVs

Nothing’s going right for the Japanese company in the past few days. Now Sony has announced to recall a whopping 1.6 million Bravia TVs that were sold from 2007. According to Sony, the LCDs that were sold during this period had a faulty component that could cause to overheat, melt and even catch fire.

Affected models KDL-40X5000/40X5050/40W5000/40V5000/40V3000 were sold in Japan, China, America, Middle East and Europe and will be repaired if found faulty.
