Google’s acquisition announcement might have sent some shockwaves around the technology arena but big Android manufacturers have welcomed the Motorola takeover. Samsung, Sony Ericsson, HTC and LG feel Motorola’s fleet of 17,000 patents will help them to protect them against ongoing and future Android-related lawsuits.
