Rumormongers have been spinning the Amazon tablet rumors for quite some time and now Wall Street Journal has done a piece revealing more info on the upcoming tablet. The article notes that Amazon is looking to launch a 9-inch tablet based on Android OS in October. Surprisingly, this version of Amazon tablet won’t be designed by the retail giant and won’t feature a camera.

Needless to say, Amazon’s tablet will not only compete with other tablets in the market but also Amazon’s current money spinner, Kindle.

The report also spills a few details on the next-generation Kindle, which will apparently come in two editions with the new variant featuring a touch screen display.
