Sony Ericsson to integrate NFC chips in upcoming Android phones

Need more proof that NFC will be the next big thing in mobile devices? Sony Ericsson is the new company that will integrate NFC chips in their upcoming Android phones. NFC maker, NXP Technologies has confirmed that Sony Ericsson will use their PN65 NFC solution that includes the NFC controller, embedded secure element and the NFC software.

NFC allows users to initiate a short-range communication to exchange contacts or even pay out bills, buy movie tickets securely with their phones.

Google’s Nexus S and some variants of Samsung’s Galaxy S II are few devices that feature the NFC chip.
