RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook has got a release date and price for the UK market. Users interested in buying the QNX OS-based PlayBook can pre-order now from Carphone Warehouse or Best Buy for a delivery on June 16.

The 16GB PlayBook is priced similar to the iPad 2, which goes for £399 whereas the 32GB costs £479 and 64GB at £559.

To rehash, PlayBook will be able to run Android apps and feature 7-inch WSVGA display, 1GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM, BlackBerry Tablet OS (QNX OS), full HD video playback, 3MP front and 5MP rear cameras capable of recording and outputting 1080p HD video, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, gyroscope and magnetometer.
