Here’s some good news for HTC users using Desire, Desire HD or Desire Z. HTC has confirmed to SlashGear that the aforementioned devices are destined to Google Android’s latest 2.3 aka Gingerbread update.

“We are excited to announce that the Desire HD, Desire Z, Desire and Incredible S will receive the Gingerbread update in Q2.”

The exact dates are unknown at the moment but it’s a good thing that a manufacturer is willing to come clean and support older devices like Desire.
