Although I would’ve appreciated if Google expanded the Goggles app to other platforms, they’ve updated the app for Android expanding its functionality. The Goggles 1.3 client can now scan barcodes and QR codes that give out results almost instantaneously, scan ads in magazines and newspapers that will return with a Google Search and more importantly, solve a Sudoku puzzle. Take a picture of the Sudoku puzzle and Google Goggles will come back with a solution for it.

The app is available on the Android Market.
