Android 2.2 (Froyo) update for Galaxy S gets official

Samsung has finally released the impending update for Galaxy S users. Users can now update their Galaxy S phones to Android 2.2 aka Froyo update bringing improvements and additional features. Samsung’s fastest selling smartphone now gets faster navigation – thanks to the use of Just in Time (JIT) compiler, Adobe Flash 10.1 support, Home Screen pinch-and-zoom (works like HTC’s Expose), button to activate or deactivate the auto-rotation and more.
The update is available via Kies software in Nordic countries. Other European countries and rest of the world will get it gradually.
