PlayStation Network users should be wary from using the world’s first PS3 jailbreak for the time being because it seems Sony has the ability to ban jailbreakers. Apparently, Sony can keep a tab on PSN users with Backup manager game ID (LAUN-12345) and could potentially thwart jailbreakers by banning their PSN accounts, resulting in 800A227 error.

This is unconfirmed for now but as a precautionary measure, users who want to play backups from their HDDs should rather stay away from PSN.
