Windows 7 tablet

At the Worldwide Partner Conference, Steve Ballmer confirmed Windows 7 tablets will flood the market this year. He said this to 14,000 partners in his keynote indicating many big players like Asus, Dell, LG, Samsung, Sony, Toshiba will bring Windows 7-powered tablet PCs by end of this year.

Although tablets today target the leisure seeking crowd, Microsoft will target business users. Ballmer says Windows-powered tablet would be “sanctioned by corporate IT departments”, thus doubling the device for both work and leisure purposes.

Microsoft plans to show off some prototypes at the conference.
