Looks like Acer will jump in the tablet bandwagon soon. At an event in Beijing, Acer’s CEO, Gianfranco Lanci was snapped with a 7-inch tablet in his hands. He refused to divulge intrinsic details but has confirmed to run Android OS and will sport a “color screen” that will be “fast with sensitive touch”. Other than that, the image indicates that this device will have a QWERTY keyboard.

As for the launch, Acer expects to bring the tablet to the market in Q4 of this year and will be sold via operators, in addition to other sales channels.
