Google unveils Chrome Web Store for web apps

Google’s I/O Developer conference has kicked off in San Francisco and they’ve announced a Chrome Web Store or simply put, an app store for web apps. Developers can create their web apps using standard web tools and sell it in the store for a price. An advantage these web apps have is that in addition to being compatible with Google’s Chrome browser, it can be used with other browsers if the browser supports latest web technologies.
Google will invite developers to create their apps before the Web Store opens later this year.
