If Boy Genius Report’s source is to be believed, Research in Motion is also developing a tablet PC but will take a different approach. BGR’s source claims that RIM is looking to make the tablet act as a companion device to Blackberry phones that will help to view multimedia files, emails and e-books on a larger screen.

The purported Blackberry tablet will sport a 8.9-inch screen and won’t have any cellular connectivity but will rely on tablet’s Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to communicate with the phone.
