Nvidia 3DTV Play brings 3D gaming to HDTVs

Nvidia today announced a nice software solution that will enable 3D gaming and movies on the new 3D TVs. 3DTV Play harnesses power from any GeForce GPU supporting HDMI or DVI and outputs 3D content on all HDMI 1.4 compatible 3D TVs. The software helps to convert over 400 gaming titles to stereoscopic 3D and even displays 3D photos or streaming 3D content. Another advantage is that the software supports any type of 3D glasses.
To show the software’s prowess, Nvidia has teamed up with Panasonic and will show its 3DTV Play software running on the new Viera HDTVs at the Touch the Future Tour.
Nvidia will offer this software as a free upgrade to 3D Vision consumers whereas will cost $39.99 as a standalone unit.
