WSJ: Sony preparing PSP phone tablet to take on Apple iPhone and iPad

We heard (and dreamt) about PSP phone many times before but nothing materialized, until now that is. WSJ is citing people familiar with the matter that Sony is making a phone capable of “downloading and playing videogames”.
WSJ’s sources also confirmed that they’re also developing a tablet to take on Apple’s iPad (coming on April 3). Not that surprising.
Anyways, both the devices are slated for this year and will use a new online media platform scheduled to be launch later this month.
The service is tentatively known as Sony Online Service and will perform functions akin to iTunes by allowing users to download songs, movies, TV shows and games (even original PS games).
