Amazon is trying to emulate the real newspaper-like experience. After enabling users to read articles from newspapers (or books and sites) on their Kindle, they’ve announced a KDK aka Kindle Development Kit allowing developers to create apps for Kindle. In short, the puzzles like Sudoku which you find on the back of the newspaper will be available soon on the Kindle or a guide showing reviews, ratings of movies, restaurants etc. all updated wirelessly over Whispernet.

Interested developers can sign up for the KDK on the link below that will start in limited numbers from next month. As announced yesterday, devs will get a 70 percent share and have the liberty to set different subscriptions options like a one-time purchase, monthly subscription or free.
