Jan 14 came and went but as expected there were no signs of 3G auction. Now, the Indian telecom minister, A Raja has spoken again, claiming that the 3G services auction will be done by the March-end. Yeah, he assured us the same thing every time but eventually an auction was delayed.

“A notice inviting bidders for the 3G auction is likely this week.”

On a serious note, I think the government and operators should make it clear if consumers will (ever) get 3G services or shall wait another year for 4G?
