AMD has taken the crown for being the first GPU company to give DirectX11 support for notebooks. The ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series is now DirectX11 capable, allowing users to harness more power off their Windows 7 notebooks as well as support ATI’s Eyefinity multi-display technology. Additionally, all the GPUs will have the capability of decoding full HD video, HDMI 1.3a, Dolby support, Vari-Bright technology to optimize display brightness for better battery life and more.

AMD is looking to fit these cards in the next generation Danube mainstream notebooks and Nile ultrathin portables.
