Digitimes is reporting that Acer could be the first one to launch a Chrome OS netbook. According to “industry sources” Acer has started developing the netbook and plans to launch in second half of 2010, which also happens to be the release time frame for Chrome OS.

Though it’s a rumor for now, you cannot rule out the possibility since Acer was the first big vendor to launch an Android OS netbook. Probably, Acer will follow the same strategy by making the Chrome OS netbook dual-boot with Windows OS.
