ZiiLABS shows TRINITY – Mobile Phone concept powered by Android

Creative has kicked off the Zii Summit in China and as promised, are showing the Zii powered cell phone. Unfortunately, it’s just a prototype and like Zii EGG, it will be available initially only to interested mobile phone manufacturers who can create and sell it under their brand name. Nonetheless, the TRINITY concept looks very competitive, capable to give Snapdragon a hard time.
The phone’s running on ZMS-05 Stemcell processor with Zii optimized Android and Plaszma OS and features quad-band GSM and tri-band 3G support. Amongst other things, it has 3.1-inch AMOLED capacitive multi-touch WVGA touchscreen, Xi-Fi audio technology, mini HDMI-out port, 5MP auto focus camera, OpenGL ES acceleration support, microSD card slot, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, TV-out and 1130mAh li-poly battery.
Creative is selling the complete Zii TRINITY platform with schematics, mechanical drawings etc. to handset manufacturers or a 3G Phone Edition development kit that allows companies to create phones with their choice of hardware around the TRINITY platform.

[...] The TRINITY 001 is still in an unfinished form and expectedly very glitchy but the fact that it is run by a powerful ZMS-05 SoC makes it exciting. Creative reckons any manufacturer interested in rolling out a Zii-powered phone can do it within 3 months. Check out the full feature set of this concept phone over here. [...]
