Qualcomm developing iPhone-sized FLO TV?

A new report has emerged claiming Qualcomm to be making a handheld device supporting FLO TV. The device, known as FLO TV Personal Television (PTV) will apparently be sized as big as iPhone and will be able to transmit FLO TV broadcasts.
FLO TV is equivalent to T-DMB, DVB-H and 1seg that is found in Korea, Europe and Japan. The device is currently in conceptual stages and is also expected to stick a capacitive touchscreen with “swipe and gesture-driven UI”, 4GB internal memory, integrated stereo speakers and a battery giving about 300 hours of standby, 5 hours of TV or 15 hours of music.
This development puts up an interesting question, “Will a user invest in a device that plays a bit of music and does only TV?” Maybe making it a full-fledged PMP powered by Snapdragon and we’ll have a true iPod Touch/iPhone competitor.
