Seagate has announced that they have begun shipping the world’s fastest Cheetah 15K.7 enterprise-class HDDs. The new 3.5-inch hard drives boast 15K RPM speed and delivers data rate up to 204MB/s. The drives support 4Gb/s FC or 6Gb/s SAS interfaces and comes with other features like PowerTrim to reduce power consumption and option to self-encrypt the drive.

Cheetah 15K.7 drives are available in capacities of 300/450/600GB.
